Chapter 14
Su Rong found Qu Yi standing on the deck looking at the scenery.
Hearing her voice, he said to Su Rong, “The night sky is so beautiful tonight, isn’t it?”
Not hearing Su Rong’s reply, he continued to himself, “You came back too quickly, didn’t you?”
“Qu Yi, you know the consequences of doing this.”
Although it was a question, Su Rong used a declarative tone.
Qu Yi closed his eyes and smiled, feeling the wind blow past his ears, and said leisurely, “I know, but so what?”
“That person is just a mortal, why does he deserve such different treatment from you?”
Qu Yi tilted his head, looking at Su Rong with red-rimmed eyes: “Su Rong, I’ve been so good to you, loved you so much, pursued you so hard, yet in your heart I’m not even as good as a mortal, why?”
Su Rong said, “Do you love me?”
“I do.” Qu Yi replied without hesitation.
“No, you only love yourself.” Su Rong’s tone was flat, but it pierced Qu Yi’s heart, “Your eyes when looking at me are full of all kinds of desires, power, fame, and so on. You have always just treated me as a stepping stone for your ascension.”
“No! Don’t talk nonsense!” Qu Yi refuted quickly, “You don’t know anything, you just stand by coldly, as if I’m just a clown in your eyes, not worth a glance from you.”
“Hmm,” Su Rong said coldly, “You’re right.”
These words seemed to stab Qu Yi’s heart like a thorn. He cried out in a shrill voice, “Su Rong, why can you never look up to me? Su Rong, I won’t let you off!”
“Tsk.”
Su Rong was filled with disgust. She finally said, “You know that humans can’t withstand that kind of demonic energy, right? You directly injected your entire demonic energy into Qing Xian’s body. If I had come back a little later, he would have died from body explosion.”
“Qu Yi, you can be ruthless, you can be overbearing, but when you turn your attention to innocent people, don’t blame me for being unkind.”
Hearing this, Qu Yi laughed instead: “Elder Sister Su Rong, you won’t do this. My mother has done a favor for the Demon Lord, how can you repay kindness with enmity?”
Su Rong gathered a ball of demonic energy in her hand, many times purer than Qu Yi’s.
“It’s precisely because of what your mother did in the past that I spare your life,” Su Rong said flatly. “But if you want to do evil again, I’m afraid it won’t be possible.”
Saying this, she casually threw the demonic energy in her hand onto Qu Yi.
Qu Yi couldn’t move at all and could only watch helplessly as Su Rong injected that demonic energy into his meridians.
He felt as if every bone in his body was being shattered and reassembled, shattered and reassembled, repeating three times before it stopped.
And he himself had long since fainted from the pain.
Su Rong picked up the unconscious Qu Yi, opened a teleportation gate, and directly threw him back to the demon realm, sending a message to Qu Yi’s mother.
“Qu Yi’s injury is self-inflicted. If you truly love him, discipline him well.”
Qu Yi’s mother looked at her son with broken meridians, millions of years of cultivation turned to nothing, feeling heartbroken and helpless.
She could become an elder of the demon race only because she had once saved the Demon Lord, her own cultivation level was barely enough to scrape by.
She blamed herself for spoiling this only son too much, indulging him to the point where he didn’t know his limits.
Ah, the elder sighed long and deep.
She had always supported her son’s pursuit of the Crown Princess, even harboring dreams of benefiting from it herself.
But she never expected her indulgence would lead to such a result…
She said to the demon attendant behind her, “Take him back for proper treatment, at least… to save his life…”
“Yes.” The demon attendant responded and stepped forward, several people carrying Qu Yi back together.
Su Rong stood on the deck, watching the gradually closing teleportation gate, waving her hand to shut it completely.
She stood on the deck, watching the sky slowly change.
It was as if someone was pouring white paint into ink, making it gradually diffuse, diffuse.
Then slowly, the white completely suppressed the black, and the sky turned a faint white.
In the east, a huge golden crow rose from the sea, golden light flooding the ocean.
She quietly watched for a moment. More and more people appeared on the deck, chattering voices entering her ears, and the seabirds’ high-pitched cries pierced the blue sky.
Her gaze was unfocused, just standing there quietly alone, her light blue gauze dress and sleeves fluttering in the wind.
In the south there is a beauty, standing aloof from the world.
Looking at Su Rong, Si Tu Tang unexpectedly thought of this line of poetry.
She didn’t go forward to disturb her, but chose to turn and leave.
Early this morning, she had gone to Su Rong’s room, found no one inside, and guessed she would be here.
Su Rong was always like this, once lost in thought she would lose track of time…
When Su Rong came out of her own world and returned to her room, she found Qing Xian waiting outside her door.
She raised the corner of her mouth in a playful smile: “What, coming to settle accounts with me?”
Qing Xian pressed his lips together, not daring to look into her eyes.
“Today Long Ling told me that I… stayed in your room for a long time last night, and was finally carried back to my room by you.” He closed his eyes and repeated what Long Ling had told him, his heart full of shyness.
He didn’t know what had happened to him last night, he just suddenly felt his body getting hot, and instinctively wanted to go to Su Rong for help.
But after entering Su Rong’s room, his memory was gone, and he didn’t know what he had done.
“Mm, you were incredibly passionate last night.” Su Rong said with a mischievous smile.
“Ah?” Qing Xian looked at her in shock, hurriedly covering her mouth with his hand and said, “We’re still in the corridor, what nonsense are you saying?!”
Su Rong looked at Qing Xian with a smile, her eyes seeming to have small hooks, more expressive than words.
“Mmm mmm mmm.” Su Rong said laughingly, one hand pulling Qing Xian’s hand, leading him into the room.
Seeing no one around, Qing Xian put his hand down, then clenched it into a fist behind his back, not speaking.
“You don’t believe me?” Su Rong said, “Last night you were hugging and kissing me, and even said I…”
Su Rong was manually muted again.
She didn’t move to remove Qing Xian’s hand, just looked at him smiling.
Qing Xian’s face turned red from her gaze, he could only say, “That was all an accident, I don’t know what came over me, um, that is, we… nothing happened, right?”
Su Rong touched his palm with her lips, signaling him to let go.
But Qing Xian was startled and quickly withdrew his hand.
Earlier he had deliberately used the back of his hand to cover her mouth, just to avoid touching Su Rong’s lips again. He didn’t know why, but just thinking about their skin touching made his heart race and his face flush.
But even so, looking at Su Rong now, he had to admit, she really made him want to hug her, want to kiss her, want to… become the most intimate person with her.
However, Su Rong didn’t seem to like him, at most she treated him as an interesting little plaything, without true feelings.
Su Rong watched Qing Xian’s expression change a thousand times, then lazily leaned against the door and said, “Don’t worry, I’m not so desperate as to take advantage of you.”
Hearing this, Qing Xian should have been happy that his chastity was still intact, but his sinking heart seemed to be mocking his words not matching his heart.
He lowered his head, his mood low. Su Rong thought he was still worried about his chastity, so she said, “Nothing happened last night. When I came in, I saw you lying on the table, so I sent you back to your room.”
“You’re not regretting that I didn’t do anything, are you?” Su Rong asked suspiciously.
“Of course not!” Qing Xian glared at her, “Why do you always…”
“Always what?” Su Rong raised an eyebrow and asked.
Always teasing him, Qing Xian thought, but didn’t say it out loud.
Suddenly, they heard the sound of people running outside, as if a group of people were running in one direction.
The two looked at each other, walked to the door, opened it and asked someone passing by hurriedly, “What happened?”
“I heard someone jumped into the sea, I’m going to take a look.” The person answered him, his eyes showing not concern for the jumper, but pure curiosity and interest.
Qing Xian said thanks and prepared to go see if he could help.
The sea in this area should be very deep, who knows if the person has been rescued.
Su Rong had no intention of saving anyone in her heart, she just simply followed Qing Xian walking forward.
…
At this time, the “person” who had fallen into the water looked at Si Tu Tang swimming towards him in shock, not knowing what to do.
Long Ling hurriedly dragged his dragon body to swim quickly to a place where Si Tu Tang couldn’t see, changed into human form, and then hurriedly swam to her side.
His true form was a dragon, and after wandering on the sea for so many days, he finally couldn’t resist the itch in his heart and jumped into the sea to enjoy himself. But he didn’t expect that before he had swum for long, he saw Si Tu Tang jump down after him, which scared him badly.
He swam along the seawater towards Si Tu Tang, seeing her looking at him with great anxiety.
Because he had swum so deep and far, it was obvious that Si Tu Tang was almost out of breath, but she still kept reaching her hand towards him, as if wanting to save him.
Long Ling felt as if thousands of little fish had swum into his heart, jumping and bouncing around inside, unable to find peace.
He swam quickly towards Si Tu Tang, grabbed her hand reaching out to him, and suddenly pulled her to his side.
Regardless of Si Tu Tang’s surprised and delighted eyes, he suddenly seized her lips, passing the air in his mouth to her.
Si Tu Tang was originally delighted that Long Ling was fine, and surprised that he, as a man, had the strength to pull her. But she never expected his next move.
But when their lips met, she unconsciously wanted to ask for more, maybe it was the air in his mouth, or maybe something else.
At that moment, she couldn’t think about these things anymore, she just instinctively deepened the kiss.
She felt that when she kissed Long Ling, it was as if she could breathe normally, yet also as if she couldn’t breathe at all.
Finally, in a daze, she was brought out of the deep sea by him.
The two of them hugged tightly as they surfaced, with Qing Xian and Su Rong, who had hurried over, standing on the deck watching them.
Long Ling instinctively turned his head, trying to hide his embarrassment.
The others on the ship sighed in relief when they saw them come up, putting their minds at ease.
Although many of them had come with the mindset of watching a spectacle, they still hoped the two would come up safely.
Now that the two had appeared alive on the surface, the crowd just smiled and dispersed.
Qing Xian, however, looked at Long Ling with some complexity.
Others would only think they were rescued, but he knew that the sea was like home for Long Ling, there was no danger.
But now Long Ling’s appearance seemed very dangerous…
