Chapter 1
South of Kunlun, in the Long Yang Immortal Mountain. The sect is Qingluan, where flowers bloom in all four seasons.
In the back mountain of Qingluan Sect, the apricot blossoms were in full bloom, looking like a sea of white from afar. If it weren’t for the fact that Long Yang Mountain had spring-like weather all year round, one might have mistaken this scene for snowfall.
By the lake amidst the apricot grove, on a huge jade stone, Yu Wu sat cross-legged in a blue robe. Her slender hands rested on her knees, her narrow eyes lightly closed, her brows tightly furrowed.
This was the place with the most abundant spiritual energy among the major immortal mountains. Except for the direct disciples of Qingluan Sect, no one else was allowed to come here for cultivation.
Yu Wu had been in meditation for a day and a night, but she couldn’t sense any spiritual energy within her body that could resonate with heaven and earth.
Yu Wu felt somewhat frustrated.
She wasn’t originally from this world. Everything that existed here now was just a so-called epic ‘fantasy matriarchal’ novel.
Now, every time she thought about it, Yu Wu deeply regretted it.
She had originally seen criticism of this novel. A good fantasy story with a strong female lead, who didn’t care about becoming an immortal, but ended up marrying a prince and inheriting the throne, diligently serving as the human Emperor for a lifetime.
With such an outrageous plot, Yu Wu wondered how this book became so popular. Who would have thought that as soon as she opened the book, she would be sucked in.
That would have been fine, but Yu Wu hadn’t read a single word of the novel, only knowing the protagonist and the antagonist. As for the ups and downs of the plot in this book, Yu Wu knew nothing at all.
Moreover, most importantly, Yu Wu didn’t know what her own fate would be in the end.
What a mess!
Yu Wu had been in this fantasy matriarchal novel for several days now, and she had roughly figured out the relationships among the people in Qingluan Sect.
In the book, she was the eldest daughter of the Qingluan Sect leader’s concubine, sharing the same name as her real-life self, good-looking but useless in all other aspects.
And her half-sister, the legitimate second daughter Yu Tong, was the protagonist of this book.
Thinking of this, Yu Wu helplessly opened her eyes. As she sighed, a beam of silver light descended from the sky.
With a ‘thud’, it fell into the lake in front of Yu Wu, splashing water everywhere. In an instant, a large tail covered in silver scales leaped out of the water surface.
It sank back down in a flash, and the lake surface returned to calm.
‘A dragon’s tail?’
Although Yu Wu had never seen one in person, she had seen paintings of ‘dragons’ in the books in the library, not much different from those depicted in modern TV dramas.
Everything happened too suddenly. Yu Wu immediately stood up, but before she could take a closer look, hurried footsteps sounded from behind.
Yu Wu turned around to see four of her fellow disciples, including Yu Tong, running over, all carrying bundles on their backs.
The newcomers looked urgent, so Yu Wu quickly jumped down from the jade stone and ran to meet them.
“Senior Brother, Yu Tong, what’s wrong? Why do you all look so troubled?”
“Mother has ordered us to go down the mountain immediately to help draw talismans in the imperial palace, saying it’s to be considered as training,” Yu Tong rushed to answer Yu Wu.
Yu Wu frowned, feeling that there was more to this than just going down the mountain for training.
She looked up at Lan Ruo, the senior disciple of Qingluan Sect. Lan Ruo avoided her gaze, seeming to know what was really going on.
However, since Yu Mother had already given the order, and Yu Tong and her fellow disciples had always wanted to go down the mountain for training, this was a good opportunity.
“Then I’ll go back and pack my things now, wait for me for a moment.”
“Elder Sister, you don’t need to. Father has already packed for you. Mother doesn’t want us to delay,” Yu Tong patted the bundle on her shoulder, showing it to Yu Wu. Yu Wu was about to nod when she sensed someone spying on them from the water behind her.
She whirled around, but the water surface was calm, without a trace of anyone.
“Elder Sister, what are you looking at?” Yu Tong asked while looking around.
“Nothing, nothing. Let’s go quickly.”
Although everything had happened suddenly, Qingluan Sect was a major immortal sect, and there was a barrier around this back mountain. Not just anyone could enter freely.
So Yu Wu thought that maybe she had been meditating for too long and her brain was a bit oxygen-deprived, causing hallucinations.
With Yu Mother’s urgent order, Yu Wu didn’t dare to delay. She immediately left the back mountain with the others and went down the mountain.
Not long after Yu Wu and the others had left, the calm water surface rippled slightly, and a head with silver dragon horns emerged halfway from the water.
A pair of amber eyes watched Yu Wu’s retreating figure, their gaze gloomy yet lively.
After lingering for just a moment, the horned head sank back into the water, leaving no trace.
The sky had already darkened. Yu Wu was standing on the sword that Yu Tong was controlling. The group of five people on four swords was flying through the layers of clouds.
“Have you all heard? The new Demon Lord who has taken the throne in the Demon Realm is actually a man. The Celestial Realm is very wary of this new Demon Lord, and they seem to be looking for a suitable female immortal to form a marriage alliance with the Demon Realm.”
Flying on swords was too boring, and someone always couldn’t help but want to chat about some gossip. Yu Tong, being the most talkative and lively, was the one who spoke up.
“Even the sweepers in our sect know about such a big event as the Demon Realm changing its ruler. But with the temperament of those immortals in the Celestial Realm, which female immortal would be willing to lower herself to marry a great demon and then have to stay in the Demon Realm forever?”
The little junior brother couldn’t help but respond with such a remark.
Yu Wu had heard about these things too.
The demon race had been growing stronger recently, and with the new Demon Lord taking the throne, the entire demon race was restless.
In the last great war between heaven and demons, although the demon race ultimately submitted, the Celestial Realm didn’t gain much advantage either. If another war were to break out, the Celestial Realm would surely lose more good soldiers and strong generals, which wouldn’t be worth it.
Moreover, which female immortal in the Celestial Realm didn’t want to become a deity? If they went to the Demon Realm, becoming a deity would be out of the question. Furthermore, if this marriage alliance really happened, that female immortal would essentially be marrying into the demon family.
This was a world where women were revered. Even in the mortal realm, no woman would be willing to marry into another family, let alone a high and mighty female immortal from the Celestial Realm.
However, for Yu Wu, all of these were just gossip. For someone like her who had no spiritual roots and whose status in the immortal sect wasn’t particularly noble, no matter how they chose, this position wouldn’t fall on her.
Yu Wu now only wanted to make up for everything she lacked due to not having spiritual roots, to diligently cultivate immortality, to be an uninvolved bystander, and to quickly return to her real life.
“Stop talking about this matter, it has nothing to do with us. When you all arrive at the palace later, you must be careful and cautious. Although the palace is in the mortal realm, the royal family is deeply intertwined with our immortal sects and has great connections with the Celestial Realm. Don’t cause any trouble for Qingluan Sect and our master.”
Senior Brother Lan Ruo reminded them, although his voice was still very gentle. The words ‘gentle and attentive’ couldn’t be more appropriate when used to describe Lan Ruo.
As the senior brother of Yu Wu and the others, Lan Ruo had always taken the best care of his junior sisters and brother. Yu Wu and the others all respected this senior brother very much, and no one spoke up again.
The number of people below the cloud layer was increasing, seeming as if they had already entered the capital.
This was the first time Yu Wu and the others had come down the mountain, so naturally, they were very curious about everything in the mortal realm.
Gradually, there were fewer people, but below it started to become brightly lit.
Perhaps mesmerized by the prosperity below the clouds, Yu Tong accidentally fell off her sword.
The sword had its own consciousness, linked with its master. Sensing that Yu Tong was in danger, her sword directly plunged down after her.
Yu Wu, who had been on the sword, suddenly stepped on empty air, and her whole body fell down like an arrow.
“Yu Wu!”
Senior Brother Lan Ruo called out in panic, reaching out to try to grab Yu Wu, but he grasped at empty air. Lan Ruo and the others could only immediately chase after them.
The falling speed was very fast, and the wind felt like knives cutting against the face. Yu Wu screamed uncontrollably, only regretting that she couldn’t control a sword.
Falling from such a height, if she didn’t turn into a meat paste, she would at least be crippled. Yu Wu increasingly suspected that she was just cannon fodder in this novel, otherwise, how could she be so unlucky?
She was waiting for the pain that would come from contact with the ground, but unexpectedly, the place where Yu Wu fell was a hot spring.
With a splash, she fell into the water. Although she hadn’t been smashed, the current situation wasn’t much better than being turned into meat paste.
Yu Wu was a landlubber in reality, and after being transported into the book, she didn’t feel she had gained any new skills.
The warm water kept pouring into her mouth and nose. Yu Wu struggled in the water, originally trying to swim upwards, but for some reason, the more she flailed, the more she felt someone was pulling her down.
As the feeling of suffocation came, Yu Wu thought that after being transported into a book once, she was going to kick the bucket like this.
Who would have thought that in her final moments, Yu Wu seemed to see a huge silver dragon swimming towards her at an extremely fast speed.
Before Yu Wu could react, something had wrapped around her waist and thrown her upwards forcefully. Yu Wu was ejected from the hot spring like a water bullet, falling onto the shore.
“Cough cough cough…”
As soon as she started breathing, Yu Wu felt her chest was full of water, so she kept coughing.
But Yu Wu didn’t completely relax. She staggered to her feet, took two steps towards the hot spring, and stood at the edge.
Yu Wu frowned deeply, carefully looking at the spring water before her.
A faint white mist rose from the surface of the spring, the water rippling gently, as quiet as if Yu Wu had never fallen in.
Yu Wu was a bit dazed at the moment, but she could be certain that when she was underwater just now, it was definitely that silver dragon that had saved her.
But in the blink of an eye, everything had disappeared. If Yu Wu wasn’t so bad at swimming, she would definitely go into the water to take a look.
“Yu Wu!”
Lan Ruo’s voice came from not far away. Yu Wu was startled, and suddenly a silver dragon tail leaped up from the water surface, slapped the water once, and then disappeared.
Yu Wu’s pupils trembled slightly. She had just escaped death and was most clear-headed at the moment. Although she was slightly dazed due to Lan Ruo calling her name, she could be certain that she definitely hadn’t seen wrong.
The silver dragon tail that had just leaped up from the hot spring surface was exactly the same as the one she had seen in the lake behind Long Yang Mountain!

If you’re like me…
Too tired of reading stories where the female lead is often foolish, weak, feeble both physically and mentally, usually in a subservient and oppressed role in society such as a maid, secretary, concubine… or to put it bluntly, typically the one who has to serve and please the male lead, always needing protection and rescue from male leads, while the male lead is often described as talented, strikingly handsome, powerful,…
Then please continue reading.
Hi there, girls!
I’m Yuushi L.
Every day, movies and comics continuously reinforce the notion that women are weak, that they can only handle trivial matters in the background, that women are petty-minded and constantly jealous, mocking, and laughing at other women, while men are strong, wealthy, and solely focused on conquering the world, with countless mindless women ready to fall into their arms.
Believe me, once you read Female-dominant (FEDO) novels, your mindset will change significantly.
I am deeply inspired by strong, independent, and rational women who have the power to take control of their lives, and I am fascinated by the way society’s gender roles are reversed in this genre compared to real life.
So I have created this web with the noble purpose of promoting the “Female-dominant (FEDO)” genre of novels.
In my country, there was a rare renowned female poet in ancient times who wrote the following about the fate of women in that era:
“Damn this life of sharing a husband,
One wrapped in warmth, the other left cold.
I’d rather have stayed single from the start,
Than to endure a life so torn apart.”
Perhaps my penchant for reading female-dominant stories is partly a way of rebelling against the realities of life.
On my site, there will be stories that are not only female-dominant novels, as long as they align with my taste, featuring strong female protagonists and fresh, captivating storylines. Usually, they will be modern or fantasy novels.
I rarely read ancient novels that aren’t female-dominant because they often contain details that easily trigger me. These include the portrayal of men having multiple wives and concubines, which was considered utterly normal in ancient society, and the frequent disdain towards women.
I cannot change the world, as the societal structure that discriminates against women and elevates men has existed for thousands of years. Changing it to truly give women an equal role in society is not something that can happen overnight. If you want gender equality now, it’s laughable. It will never happen when over 90% of national and business leaders are men.
But I can start by changing the mindset of women, sisters, and young girls. Don’t just read dull slogans urging women to be strong and independent; it’s hard to imagine. Read Female-dominant (FEDO) novels to see clearly what true female empowerment looks like.
I believe there will be more and more independent and strong women who prioritize their careers and personal stability over seeking a man to rely on.
In the future, there will be more successful female entrepreneurs, politicians, and thought leaders.
As for me, I will start by making this website grow stronger day by day.
I especially like the concept of “the male lead falls in love first, the female lead is the cold-hearted and rational one, and the male lead suffers because the female lead doesn’t reciprocate his feelings.”
Therefore, you’ll see that most of the novels on my website will belong to this trope. Of course, there will be exceptions.
In the future, I also plan to write my own novels following this concept, where the female lead in my stories will never be the weaker party. I hope I can do it soon.
The novels I highly recommend will be listed under the category:
There will be exceptionally brilliant stories, but there will also be mediocre ones. As the Female-dominant (FEDO) genre has fewer authors and readers, the number of high-quality novels is limited.
Therefore, I want to promote this genre to reach a wider audience, which will encourage more talented authors to choose to write in this style, leading to the birth of more outstanding Female-dominant (FEDO) novels.
The Chinese versions of the novels I use for translation are all sourced from various websites on the internet. You know, I don’t have much budget to purchase so many novels.
Therefore, if your financial situation allows, please support the authors by purchasing the original works. You can find the original works using the Chinese titles of the novels.

WARNING:
In some novels, there are certain unhealthy ideologies and illegal actions held by the main characters (for example, treating human lives as worthless, or casually deciding to kill someone, forcing others to do things they don’t want to do, arbitrarily imprisoning others, plotting to harm others, using violence to retaliate against violence,…).
This may be because the authors are still young and inexperienced, unaware that what they’re writing goes beyond moral standards and can negatively influence young readers.
It’s important that readers under 18 years old need to recognize these are illegal actions, not permitted to be carried out in real life, always keep a clear head while reading, treat these works only as entertainment, and don’t let yourself be influenced by those plot points.
