Chapter 1
“The refreshments have been served, please enjoy your meal.”
The waitress placed the last dish on the table and smiled at the blue-robed woman sitting there. The woman waved her hand dismissively, her gaze not leaving the people discussing downstairs.
Several women were gathered around a table, dressed in coarse linen shirts, their faces flushed from drinking, and chatting animatedly about recent events.
“I heard that the Four Directions Conference’s treasure hunt has attracted many famous figures from the jianghu.”
“The treasures are valuable, so naturally there are many contenders. But… the Four Directions Conference is quite generous. Everyone covets that deerskin map, yet they are willing to give it away so freely!”
“That’s not entirely true. Although the deerskin map is a treasure, it depends on whose hands it falls into. If it’s in the hands of an ordinary person, it’s just a piece of scrap paper,” the woman said, swirling the wine cup in her hand. “Not only is it useless, but it can also bring fatal misfortune.”
Five deerskin maps – even missing one renders them worthless, but collected together, they become a treasure. Those who came to compete were all influential and prestigious figures in the jianghu, or at least respected warriors. For them, even if they couldn’t collect all five, obtaining just one could yield immense benefits.
“I heard…” a woman with a flushed, drunken face glanced around and lowered her voice, “two of the five maps are held by Changsheng Pavilion. Changsheng Pavilion is no ordinary place. Trying to take those two maps would be harder than ascending to the heavens!”
“Tsk, you’re right about Changsheng Pavilion. They already possess two maps, so how could they pass up such a great opportunity now?”
“Indeed…”
The woman clicked her tongue again and sighed, “It seems the winner of this competition is already predetermined before it even begins.”
The others nodded along, seeming to half-understand.
The blue-robed woman on the second floor withdrew her gaze and leisurely poured herself a cup of fragrant tea, taking a gentle whiff before sipping.
Half an incense stick later, the blue-robed woman unhurriedly walked out of the inn. It was the height of summer, just past noon when the sun was at its most scorching. The dense crowds on the streets seemed unaffected by the heat. Even with flushed faces, they still chatted and laughed with those beside them, creating a lively atmosphere.
The blue-robed woman weaved through the crowd and headed towards the city outskirts.
The bustling sounds of prosperity faded behind her. Outside the city gates, the number of passersby decreased significantly. The further out she went, the quieter it became. She only stopped when she reached a grove of trees some distance from the city.
She stood beneath a thick tree trunk that would require two people to encircle it and looked up at the figure surrounded by leaves. If one didn’t look carefully, they wouldn’t even notice a person was there.
Shen Yao Xing, who had been lying on a tree branch with her eyes closed, heard the approaching footsteps from afar. She lazily rolled over, turning her back to the visitor.
“Yao Xing, don’t tell me you plan to spend the whole day in this tree?” The woman’s voice was playful.
Shen Yao Xing’s hand, resting by her side, scratched her leg. Without opening her eyes, she let out a lazy “Mm” in response.
The blue-robed woman beneath the tree sighed in feigned regret, “What a pity… Taizhou City is truly second only to the capital in terms of delicacies and famous snacks. They’re so enticing that one could forget to leave…”
As she spoke, she glanced at the lazy figure in the tree. As expected, the hand scratching the leg paused, clearly tempted.
The corners of the blue-robed woman’s lips curved up as she continued, “I just tasted some earlier and immediately rushed over to find you so we could enjoy them together. Do you… really not want to enter the city?”
The hunger-stricken Shen Yao Xing was genuinely tempted, but then she remembered something else and suppressed her urge. “Well, I’ll wait until the sun sets before entering the city.”
“What will be left by the time the sun sets? Do you think they’ll wait for you?” The woman’s cool voice shattered her illusions. Seeing her still hesitating, she pretended to turn and leave. “If you’re not going, I’m leaving.”
“Okay, okay!” Shen Yao Xing sat up on the tree branch with slight irritation. With a push of her feet, she easily leaped down from the tall tree, the corners of her mouth turned down as she walked over to the woman.
She didn’t want to enter the city now, but she also didn’t want to miss out on the delicious food. It was quite a vexing dilemma.
Meng Xin Yi, dressed in blue robes, stood with her arms crossed, smiling as she watched her. “Why is it that every time we arrive at a town, you’re reluctant to enter during the day? What are you afraid of?”
Shen Yao Xing gave her a sideways glance and walked ahead. “Let’s just go into the city. Don’t ask so many useless questions.”
Meng Xin Yi shrugged and followed leisurely behind her. Gazing at the young woman’s fair neck, she couldn’t help but sigh in amazement. “Yao Xing, how is your skin so delicate, even more so than those men?”
Hearing this, Shen Yao Xing felt her scalp tingle. Although she had been in this gender-reversed world for over a decade, she still couldn’t change her deep-rooted mindset as a traditional woman from the 21st century.
This kind of comparison made her nauseous. Shen Yao Xing turned her head back, her expression full of disgust. “Can you not gross me out?”
“……”
The city was indeed as lively as Meng Xin Yi had described. Shen Yao Xing’s eyes sparkled, but she deliberately feigned indifference, resisting the urge to look around.
The street stalls were selling various snacks, and the rich aroma made the already hungry Shen Yao Xing let down her guard. She even passed by the red-light district without noticing until a strong scent of rouge assaulted her nose. She quickly pinched her nose and widened her eyes at the disheveled man approaching her.
“Are you a newcomer, miss? Come in and have a seat! It’s so much fun inside~”
Before the man even reached her, his deliberately coquettish voice pierced her ears. Shen Yao Xing stood stiffly, covering her nose, her eyes twitching as she watched the unidentifiable creature in white makeup and pink clothes draw closer.
Just as the man was about to touch the hem of her clothes, her figure suddenly vanished before his eyes with astonishing speed. The man was so startled that if it weren’t broad daylight, he would have thought he had seen a ghost.
He looked at the other woman, his face caked with white powder, and awkwardly tugged at it. “What’s wrong with the young lady…”
Meng Xin Yi glanced at him without saying a word.
Laughter from the other male entertainers behind him reached his ears. The man turned his head and glared at them angrily. When he looked back, the other woman had also disappeared without a trace.
…
Shen Yao Xing fled using qinggong, not daring to stop until she was far away from that place. She leaned against a wall, taking deep breaths.
The suffocating feeling of the surrounding air being polluted made her already empty stomach churn, nearly making her vomit bile.
“So that’s what you’re afraid of?” A familiar female voice came from behind. Shen Yao Xing wiped the corner of her mouth, not wanting to recall the horrifying scene from earlier. “Let’s go eat something quickly.”
Having known her for so long, it was the first time Meng Xin Yi had seen her with such an expression. She found it amusing. “Are you afraid of the men in those pleasure districts?”
The truth was, Shen Yao Xing feared all the men in this world. Her face remained expressionless.
“Alright, alright, I won’t ask.” Sensing the resentment from her friend, Meng Xin Yi waved her hand with a smile.
“Let’s go, I’ll take you to eat.”
Shen Yao Xing allowed Meng Xin Yi to lead her to the entrance of an inn. She looked up at the plaque hanging above the grand door. “Four Seasons Inn” was written in bold, elegant characters on a brown background, exuding an air of grandeur without losing its grace. The aroma of dishes wafted out from inside.
Shen Yao Xing couldn’t help but swallow. Although her face remained calm, her feet were already impatient. She walked straight in, passing Meng Xin Yi who was in front of her.
The inn was just as lively as the streets outside. The first floor was already packed with people. As soon as the two women entered, a waiter came to greet them. “Welcome, dear guests, please come inside!”
“Give us a private room,” Meng Xin Yi instructed with familiarity.
“Very well, please follow me!” The waiter smiled warmly and led the two upstairs.
The small private room on the second floor blocked out much of the noise. While waiting for the dishes to be served, Shen Yao Xing propped her head up with her hand, yawning boredly. She glanced at the woman calmly sipping tea across from her. “Do you come here often?”
“Not really, including today, it’s only been twice.”
“Oh.”
The wait for the dishes felt a bit long for Shen Yao Xing. She walked to the window of the private room and opened it. This spot provided a clear view of the first floor. Shen Yao Xing leaned against the window, looking down at the dark heads of hair from above. Amidst the jumble of conversations, she vaguely heard the words “treasure hunt” and “deerskin map” mentioned the most.
Especially the term “deerskin map” was brought up frequently.
“What is a deerskin map?” Shen Yao Xing turned her head, her face full of curiosity.
Meng Xin Yi paused mid-pour, looking up with a hint of surprise. “You don’t know?”
“Tsk, if I knew, I wouldn’t be asking,” Shen Yao Xing pouted.
Although finding it a bit odd, Meng Xin Yi didn’t pry further, assuming Shen Yao Xing had only recently started her adventures and was understandably unaware. “The Four Directions Conference is holding a treasure hunt competition in the coming days, and the treasure is that deerskin map.”
“Four Directions Conference…” Shen Yao Xing narrowed her eyes slightly, the three words rolling off her tongue as she pondered. Since running away from home, she had heard about this conference more than anything else. Even with her poor memory, it had been mentioned so often that she remembered it.
Meng Xin Yi nodded. “There are two major factions at the top of the jianghu world. One is the Four Directions Conference, and the other is Changsheng Pavilion. The world’s heroes gather at the Four Directions Conference, where experts abound. They follow the righteous path, inspiring both admiration and fear.”
Wow, sounds impressive.
“Then… what about Changsheng Pavilion?”
Meng Xin Yi took a sip of tea, her brow slightly furrowed.
Shen Yao Xing looked at her quizzically. “What’s wrong?”
Meng Xin Yi shook her head and gently set the teacup on the table. “Changsheng Pavilion is quite the opposite. There’s little information about them in the jianghu world. Rumor has it that no one who enters Changsheng Pavilion ever comes out alive…”
That sinister? Shen Yao Xing found it a bit hard to believe.
After a moment’s thought, she suddenly realized the other woman hadn’t addressed the main point. “What about the deerskin map? What is it?”
Just then, the waiter walked in with their dishes. “Please enjoy your meal, dear guests.”
Once the waiter left, Shen Yao Xing eagerly sat down. Out of habit, she took out a handkerchief to wipe her hands before grabbing a chicken leg and taking a bite. In the blink of an eye, she had forgotten the question she just asked.
Meng Xin Yi was already accustomed to this. Glancing at the woman’s greasy hands, she calmly picked up her chopsticks.
Only after finishing the chicken leg did Shen Yao Xing look at the person across from her. “What were we talking about just now?”
Since this is a transmigration novel, there may be some modern slang in the female lead’s perspective.
A note about the male lead: if you found the male lead in my previous novel, “The Little White Lotus,” too vicious to accept, please consider carefully before reading this one, as the male lead here is no good guy either.
Timidly: To avoid readers feeling like they’ve stepped on a landmine, I’m providing a warning in the first chapter. (Survival instinct on full blast)
_____________
If you’re like me…
Too tired of reading stories where the female lead is often foolish, weak, feeble both physically and mentally, usually in a subservient and oppressed role in society such as a maid, secretary, concubine… or to put it bluntly, typically the one who has to serve and please the male lead, always needing protection and rescue from male leads, while the male lead is often described as talented, strikingly handsome, powerful,…
Then please continue reading.
Hi there, girls!
I’m Yuushi L.
Every day, movies and comics continuously reinforce the notion that women are weak, that they can only handle trivial matters in the background, that women are petty-minded and constantly jealous, mocking, and laughing at other women, while men are strong, wealthy, and solely focused on conquering the world, with countless mindless women ready to fall into their arms.
Believe me, once you read Female-dominant (FEDO) novels, your mindset will change significantly.
I am deeply inspired by strong, independent, and rational women who have the power to take control of their lives, and I am fascinated by the way society’s gender roles are reversed in this genre compared to real life.
So I have created this web with the noble purpose of promoting the “Female-dominant (FEDO)” genre of novels.
In my country, there was a rare renowned female poet in ancient times who wrote the following about the fate of women in that era:
“Damn this life of sharing a husband,
One wrapped in warmth, the other left cold.
I’d rather have stayed single from the start,
Than to endure a life so torn apart.”
Perhaps my penchant for reading female-dominant stories is partly a way of rebelling against the realities of life.
On my site, there will be stories that are not only female-dominant novels, as long as they align with my taste, featuring strong female protagonists and fresh, captivating storylines. Usually, they will be modern or fantasy novels.
I rarely read ancient novels that aren’t female-dominant because they often contain details that easily trigger me. These include the portrayal of men having multiple wives and concubines, which was considered utterly normal in ancient society, and the frequent disdain towards women.
I cannot change the world, as the societal structure that discriminates against women and elevates men has existed for thousands of years. Changing it to truly give women an equal role in society is not something that can happen overnight. If you want gender equality now, it’s laughable. It will never happen when over 90% of national and business leaders are men.
But I can start by changing the mindset of women, sisters, and young girls. Don’t just read dull slogans urging women to be strong and independent; it’s hard to imagine. Read Female-dominant (FEDO) novels to see clearly what true female empowerment looks like.
I believe there will be more and more independent and strong women who prioritize their careers and personal stability over seeking a man to rely on.
In the future, there will be more successful female entrepreneurs, politicians, and thought leaders.
As for me, I will start by making this website grow stronger day by day.
I especially like the concept of “the male lead falls in love first, the female lead is the cold-hearted and rational one, and the male lead suffers because the female lead doesn’t reciprocate his feelings.”
Therefore, you’ll see that most of the novels on my website will belong to this trope. Of course, there will be exceptions.
In the future, I also plan to write my own novels following this concept, where the female lead in my stories will never be the weaker party. I hope I can do it soon.
The novels I highly recommend will be listed under the category:
There will be exceptionally brilliant stories, but there will also be mediocre ones. As the Female-dominant (FEDO) genre has fewer authors and readers, the number of high-quality novels is limited.
Therefore, I want to promote this genre to reach a wider audience, which will encourage more talented authors to choose to write in this style, leading to the birth of more outstanding Female-dominant (FEDO) novels.
The Chinese versions of the novels I use for translation are all sourced from various websites on the internet. You know, I don’t have much budget to purchase so many novels.
Therefore, if your financial situation allows, please support the authors by purchasing the original works. You can find the original works using the Chinese titles of the novels.

WARNING:
In some novels, there are certain unhealthy ideologies and illegal actions held by the main characters (for example, treating human lives as worthless, or casually deciding to kill someone, forcing others to do things they don’t want to do, arbitrarily imprisoning others, plotting to harm others, using violence to retaliate against violence,…).
This may be because the authors are still young and inexperienced, unaware that what they’re writing goes beyond moral standards and can negatively influence young readers.
It’s important that readers under 18 years old need to recognize these are illegal actions, not permitted to be carried out in real life, always keep a clear head while reading, treat these works only as entertainment, and don’t let yourself be influenced by those plot points.
