Chapter 64
Tan Ye’s breath collided with hers, each one heavier and more urgent than the last.
She completely opened her heart to him, allowing him to indulge in her embrace like a newborn baby.
Their skin rubbed against each other, their muscles tightly pressed together, scorching to the point of alarm.
What began as a gentle spring breeze under his strong endurance gradually turned into an unstoppable raging wave.
Su Heng took deep breaths, like a person about to drown. The surging waves crashed over her, dragging her down heavily into an unfathomably deep abyss.
Amidst the suffocation and waves, she could no longer find anything to rely on.
She flailed her arms a few times, only able to grasp onto him.
“Do you really love me?” Tan Ye lowered his head and asked her earnestly. His appearance at this moment was quite pitiful. His hair bun had long come undone, messily piled on his shoulders and ears, vulnerability emerging from the disarray. Paired with his watery eyes, it was especially moving.
Su Heng closed her eyes briefly. She opened her mouth, “Of course…”
She could hear her own voice at this moment, full of juice, ready to drip out with the slightest squeeze.
She raised her arms and wrapped them around his neck. She lightly pecked his lips, “I love you.” At this moment, she truly did love him – his appearance, his body. She completely accepted him, holding him tightly, gently touching his lips.
“I love you,” she said softly.
As the words fell, she suddenly felt a heaviness on her body, followed by the sound of wood splitting, as if unable to bear an overly heavy weight and finally collapsing.
She held onto him and struggled to look, only to see a glowing dragon tail extending out and reaching the outside.
“Don’t, don’t look,” Tan Ye reached out to cover her eyes. “It’s ugly.” She turned her head, removing his hand that was covering her eyes. She sat up and reached out, touching his dragon tail. The tail was adorned with silvery-white scales that refracted mysterious colorful light under the dim candlelight.
As her hand touched the dragon tail, a gasp escaped Tan Ye’s throat.
The scales felt cool under her palm, appearing somewhat similar to a snake, but they were completely different things. The dragon tail was far more beautiful than a snake. The tail exuded the same fragrant scent that was originally on his body, growing stronger as her hand roamed over it.
“Ugly?” she asked with a smile. She had seen the iridescent scales under her hand. The texture of the scales was hard to describe in words. They felt cold to the touch, with a jade-like sensation.
She lifted the curtain to look at the portion of the tail exposed outside. Seeing her gaze trailing towards the end of the tail, Tan Ye began to panic. He immediately reached out to stop her, “Don’t look!”
He embraced her, their bodies intimately pressed together without any barriers, their body heat transmitting unobstructed in this closeness.
“Why?” She was held by him, her face full of confusion, the magnificent snowy waves also surging with her heavy breathing.
“It’s unsightly,” Tan Ye tightened his arms around her. He thought of the severed section of his dragon tail, his entire being feeling as if he had been ruthlessly submerged in ice water. All the heat dissipated in an instant, leaving only panic.
Tan Ye’s face was almost entirely buried in her hair, only revealing a pair of obscure eyes. “You saw it in the water forest before. There’s no need to look again.”
“Then why did you reveal it?” Su Heng was displeased. “Revealing it at this time, isn’t it for me to see?”
Her words were righteous and she had no intention of reasoning with him. Tan Ye was rendered speechless by her words. “I didn’t do it on purpose.”
He had lost control of himself in the heat of passion, inadvertently revealing his true form.
“Then it’s for me to see.”
Su Heng said as she withdrew from his embrace, lowering her head to look at the dragon tail. She widened her eyes as if beholding something wondrous.
Her palm covered the tail, caressing the scales with just the right amount of force. Tan Ye had never been touched like this before. Her palm roamed back and forth on the dragon tail, like a child who had obtained a new toy. While marveling at the beauty of the tail, her hands were not idle, manipulating the tail left and right. This fervor was even more ardent than when she handled him.
Her palm pressed against the scales, sliding over them inch by inch. It was difficult for Tan Ye to retract his tail now, completely at her mercy. Tan Ye had never had his dragon tail touched in this way. The tail was extremely sensitive. With her palm on it, he could feel the warmth of her hand sliding beneath the scales.
Tan Ye raised his head, his long neck arching back, displaying a near-death posture due to the waves of stimulation from his tail.
His lips parted, helplessly surrendering himself to her hands. Seeing this, Su Heng’s touch became even gentler.
The originally still dragon tail moved with her caress, shifting the portion outside as well.
Su Heng patted the dragon tail under her hand, indicating for him to bring the outside portion in front of her.
Tan Ye awakened from the boundless pleasure of being caressed. Understanding her request, his face instantly turned deathly pale. Even his lips began to tremble.
“What’s wrong?” Su Heng waited for a long time without any movement from Tan Ye. She raised her head in confusion. Tan Ye reached out his long arm and pulled her over.
“Can we not?” He pleaded in her ear, his arms wrapped around her.
His expression was sorrowful and dazed, a layer of mist forming in his eyes. He lightly nibbled on her earlobe and began exploring again, wanting to divert her attention away from his dragon tail.
But the more Tan Ye acted this way, the more stubborn she became, refusing to let him have his way.
“Don’t try to change the subject. I want to see.”
She was relentless. “I’ve seen all of you, but I haven’t had a clear look at your tail. I want to see.”
As soon as the words left her mouth, he held her tightly against him. Su Heng let out an “ah” sound, fiercely grabbing his shoulders. “I insist on seeing it. We’ve already been intimate, what else can’t be seen?”
She made such a demand, leaving him no room for negotiation. Tan Ye fell silent, but there was a silvery-white shadow twirling outside. She tilted her head and saw that long dragon tail outside.
The severed tail tip was still trembling slightly. Su Heng reached out and embraced that tail tip.
The soft embrace made the tail shudder. Her fingers caressed the old wounds on his dragon tail. The wounds had long since healed completely, leaving only horrific scars exposed without the protection of scales.
She reached out, her fingers landing on those horrific scars. The old wounds had healed years ago, but due to the lack of scales, they were even more sensitive than other areas.
As her fingers touched, she heard Tan Ye seemingly inhale sharply.
“Does it hurt?” She looked at Tan Ye, the force of her fingers lightening even more.
Tan Ye shook his head. “It doesn’t hurt.”
“Really?”
Tan Ye nodded. “Not at all.”
After so many years, the wounds had long since healed, but he still felt instinctively uncomfortable when touched.
Hearing this, she gently placed her palm on it. Tan Ye was a bit unaccustomed at first but forced himself to ignore the sensation. Her palm gradually caressed.
His breathing gradually became heavy. The area near the tail tip was even more sensitive than the tail body. Even the slightest movement could be acutely felt.
She patiently attended to him. Tan Ye leaned forward, his slender fingers tightly grasping the bedding beneath. He panted heavily, clutching the sheets.
She lowered her head and kissed the old scar on the dragon tail. That spot turned scorching hot. The dragon tail stretched and coiled, easily wrapping around her.
She looked at the silvery-white tail coiled around her body and let out a surprised “eh” sound, not expecting the tail to be used in such a way.
Tan Ye pressed her into his embrace. “What did you just do?”
“I was afraid it might hurt, so I blew on it for you.” She said, trying to move, but his arms tightly restrained her, leaving no room for movement. Unable to budge, she simply lay there, tilting her head up, her eyes shining with clear transparency. Looking into those eyes, Tan Ye saw nothing but his own reflection.
The dragon tail coiled tighter and tighter, suddenly striking fiercely in one spot. She gasped.
Tan Ye lowered his head, tightly wrapping her with his dragon tail, sinking into the surging waves.
The dragon tail tightly coiled around her, even constricting further. The scales intimately pressed against her, completely dominating her entire being.
She grasped his arms tightly, her nails digging deep into his flesh. Wrapped up, she was sent whirling to the heavens.
Tan Ye held her, entwined her, completely possessing her entire being, giving her pleasure. He gazed at her face, deriving a strange satisfaction.
An array completely covered the outside of the room, making it impossible for ordinary people to approach or disturb them.
Tonight was the temple fair. When Mei Shuangshuang first found out, she was so excited that she danced with joy. However, now she had lost interest.
After thinking about it, she realized it was because of the confession she heard from Tan Ye during the day. His thoughts were quite strange. He knew that what he was thinking could not be told to anyone, as it was too domineering. In this world, who did not have parents yet remained devoted and asked for nothing in return? Especially for a man, unless he had feelings for her, it was impossible.
She did not like Tan Ye, yet she shamelessly enjoyed his kindness towards her. She had once wondered if his kindness meant he liked her, but she quickly dismissed the thought. Her mind was entirely focused on someone else, and she never considered how he felt.
It was not until Zhu Chi pointed out that Tan Ye had feelings for someone else that she realized it.
She did not like him but was addicted to his kindness, and even developed selfish thoughts, not wanting him to belong to anyone else. When she finally heard Tan Ye’s confession, she was so embarrassed that she wanted to turn around and run away.
The feeling was too awful, so awful that she wanted to bury herself under the covers and never come out again.
Come to think of it, no one should have noticed what she was thinking, right?
Mei Shuangshuang thought about it back and forth.
The voices outside grew louder, and even from inside, she could imagine the smiles on people’s faces.
It was lively outside, while she was the only one feeling lonely and unhappy. She was not used to it and disliked it. She abruptly got up and went to Chen Kun’s place. Chen Kun did not have the habit of going out late at night. He lit a lamp and read by himself. After reading a few pages, he heard a knock on the door.
Chen Kun opened the door and was surprised to see Mei Shuangshuang outside. Mei Shuangshuang saw him and said, “Let’s go out and have fun!”
Chen Kun was astonished. “Now?”
He glanced at the sky outside. It was already completely dark. Then he looked at the two of them with surprise. “Isn’t this inappropriate?”
Mei Shuangshuang was impatient with his words. She directly grabbed his collar and walked. “Let’s go, let’s go. It’s so lively outside. Staying here is too boring. It’s better to go for a walk outside.”
Chen Kun was pulled by her. He could not be rough with her, especially since Mei Shuangshuang had some cultivation. He could only be dragged away by her.
Whether he liked it or not, he had to accompany her to the temple fair.
Chen Kun thought to himself that he really needed to learn more skills from the immortal master.
Zhu Chi watched as Mei Shuangshuang dragged Chen Kun away. Seeing Chen Kun’s reluctant expression, he chuckled.
Mei Shuangshuang had served Zhu Chi for a long time and was very familiar with his tone. She immediately froze. Zhu Chi waved his hand, indicating for her to go ahead, and then mouthed “take care” to Chen Kun.
Then he watched gleefully as Mei Shuangshuang took Chen Kun outside.
The night did not quiet down with the arrival of darkness but became even livelier. Su Heng felt the sweat on her body evaporate from her body heat, only to be replaced by a new round of sweat.
She did not know when it ended. Her mind was blank as she descended from the clouds. Tan Ye held her, and they cuddled intimately. She subconsciously moved her feet and felt that he had fully returned to his human form. Tan Ye held her as they fell into a deep sleep.
This time, his sleep was not as peaceful as he had expected, with no dreams along the way. As soon as he fell asleep, he felt his whole body plunge into an icy abyss. He had a deep-rooted aversion to coldness. He stood there, looking around. It was pitch-black, but the coldness penetrated his bones.
“My son…”
The voice that had appeared before appeared in his mind once again.
“Who are you?” Tan Ye clenched his fists.
He paused for a moment. “Where exactly are you?”
He had not heard the words “my son” for so long that even in his memories, he could not find anyone who would call him that.
His mother had long become estranged from him. Even if she acknowledged him in public or private, he would not call her mother.
“You…” Tan Ye hesitated. The surroundings were still empty, with nothing to be seen.
“Who are you?”
After he asked, the voice fell silent. Tan Ye suddenly opened his eyes and sat up, gasping for breath. He looked around. It was already early morning. The noise outside had completely died down, leaving only the sound of his heavy breathing.
Tan Ye looked beside him. Su Heng was fast asleep. He lay back down and held her in his arms. Only when she was in his embrace could he obtain momentary tranquility.
Su Heng woke up when the sky was slightly brightening. After the darkness outside reached its deepest point, it gradually began to turn white, with a hint of blue appearing on the horizon.
She opened her eyes and moved. Then she heard the person behind her speak, “You’re awake?”
Su Heng made a surprised sound. She turned her head to look at Tan Ye and saw that he had his eyes open, looking energetic, without any sign of exhaustion from exerting himself for most of the night.
Her mouth opened and closed a few times, feeling complex emotions. Were dragon warriors so energetic? She had even intentionally teased him, but she did not expect him to be able to stay awake, his spirit so good that it left her dumbfounded.
Su Heng thought of the legend that dragons had nine offspring and inwardly spat a few times.
She had forgotten how exceptionally gifted dragons were in this regard.
“You didn’t sleep all night?” Su Heng asked.
She really admired Tan Ye. After such a commotion and having his tail played with for a while, he could still stay awake all night. That was quite a feat.
Tan Ye shook his head. “I slept, but…”
He thought of the voice in his dream and frowned. Su Heng noticed. “What’s wrong?”
He circled his arms around her from the side, resting his chin on her shoulder. They were both clean, feeling very refreshed. Being close to her like this did not make him feel any discomfort.
She raised her hand and stroked his long hair, as if comforting a child. “Tell me about it. Maybe I can help you.”
Tan Ye held her for a while. “I think I found my father.”
Su Heng’s hand stopped on his long hair. “I heard you say that you haven’t seen your father for a long time and that he hasn’t appeared for a long while.”
“Yes, he has never appeared.” There was confusion in Tan Ye’s eyes. “I thought he had abandoned me, just like her.”
Madam Man gave birth to him but did not treat him as a son. After his heartbreak, regardless of whether he was in public or private, he would not call her mother.
It was the same with this father. He felt that apart from Su Heng, he was alone in this world.
“He came looking for you.” Su Heng felt a strange sensation in her heart. “He hasn’t appeared for so many years. Why is he looking for you now?”
She looked around the room and found no one else besides the two of them.
“When did he look for you?”
She did not remember Tan Ye having any unusual moments.
Tan Ye blinked gently. “In my dream, he found me through our bloodline. Back then, I also found Langfeng by following the connection in our bloodline.”
“He should have shown himself then. Since he knows where you are, shouldn’t he come to you in person?”
After not seeing his son for so long, he should have come to meet him in person, no matter what.
Tan Ye closed his eyes. “That’s why I don’t know what he means.”
Su Heng patted him from time to time. “It’s okay if he comes. If he comes, I’ll meet him with you. If he doesn’t come… you still have me.”
Tan Ye smiled. He buried himself deeper into her embrace and let out a hum of agreement.
