Chapter 2: Reshaping the Worldview
After she was allowed to get out of bed, the doctor told her parents she could go home to recuperate and didn’t need to stay in the hospital. So that afternoon, the original body’s parents processed the discharge procedures for Wang Zhao.
It was from this day that Wang Zhao began to learn about this world through the internet and books.
The original body’s phone was tragically sacrificed in the car accident, so her parents bought her a new one.
Wang Zhao still had some remnants of memories from her previous life in her mind, or perhaps they were memories of the original body – she couldn’t quite distinguish.

Everything felt familiar, with fragments of images flashing through her mind.
Wang Zhao breathed a sigh of relief. Except for the reversal of yin and yang where males give birth to offspring, the technological development of this world should be similar to her previous life. She found that she could quickly adapt to these changes.
After roughly understanding this world, Wang Zhao finally had the mind to examine the room she was currently staying in.
After returning from the hospital, Wang’s parents had her lie in bed to rest well. They showed no doubt about her becoming quiet and reserved, taking care of her throughout, afraid of hurting her feelings.
After closing the door, Wang Zhao got out of bed and began to survey the room.
The room was very tidy, not cluttered, showing that the original body was a person who was good at organizing and self-disciplined.
A medium-sized desk was placed in front of the window, piled with a few books and some study materials. She flipped through them and found they were books for the civil service exam. The practice tests had all been completed, with writing all over the pages.
The original body must have been preparing for the civil service exam.
Wang Zhao raised an eyebrow. It seems that no matter where you are, the end of the universe is always about taking exams.
In the middle of the desk was a laptop. Wang Zhao opened it and found it needed a password. She tried entering the birthday from the original body’s ID card that she recalled, but it showed the password was incorrect.
She tried adding the name in uppercase and lowercase, but it still showed the password was incorrect.
Wang Zhao then stopped trying. There were many possibilities for the password, and continuing to try randomly might not yield results. She thought about looking for a notebook that might have recorded the password.
Apart from the laptop and books, there were few things on the desk. On the right side was a family photo, probably taken at high school graduation. In the photo, a young woman wearing a graduation gown stood with her parents, her expression also bland.
Wang Zhao suddenly had a feeling that the original body’s personality wasn’t the lively and cheerful type either.
No wonder Wang’s parents hadn’t been suspicious these past few days.
She continued to open the desk drawer and found a transparent file folder inside.
After opening it, Wang Zhao discovered it contained certificates from the original body’s student career from childhood to now: graduation photos from elementary school, middle school, high school to university; bachelor’s degree certificate and diploma; and some competition certificates she had won before.
As she examined these photos and certificates, familiar scenes flashed through her mind again, which should be memories of the original body.
It was as if when she looked at those names on the back of old photos that should have been somewhat unfamiliar, she felt a sense of familiarity instead, and even a young face appeared in her mind.
She continued to browse.
The original body attended a key undergraduate university locally, majoring in law. Her grades must have been quite good. She looked it up online and found that the minimum admission score for her year was over 590.
Besides this, the original body’s major could also be seen from the bookshelf in the room, as there were many law books on the shelf. Most of the books had frayed edges and slightly yellowed pages, indicating they were frequently read.
She explored the entire room before finally finding a small notebook in the bottom drawer of the bedside table. It recorded usernames and passwords for various apps, as well as bank card passwords, including the computer password.
The original body’s meticulous personality had made things convenient for her.
Wang Zhao directly entered the password from the notebook into the laptop, and sure enough, the computer desktop appeared.
This computer was very clean, with hardly any software on the desktop, just a folder named “Study Materials”.

After roughly understanding the original body’s family and this world, Wang Zhao searched online for libraries and found that there was a library near home with a large collection of books, just one subway stop away.
So for the next month, Wang Zhao spent every day in the library. Of course, her explanation to her family was that she was studying for the civil service exam at the library, but in reality, she was slowly learning about this world’s history, politics, economy, and other aspects. Most importantly, she was learning about the physiological knowledge of men and women in this world.
Everything was familiar yet strange.
The general aspects of history were familiar, but there were many different parts. Some familiar historical figures had disappeared, and unfamiliar terms appeared in history books, replacing the achievements of those people in her memory.
This mix of familiarity and strangeness could easily make one doubt their life.
To understand this world, she had to read and memorize world history books, national history books, and books about major contributors to world politics, economy, and culture. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be good if she got something wrong one day.
Although occasional slips of the tongue in daily life weren’t a big deal, if it happened too often, others might become suspicious.
